Re: “Marjie’s Grill

exxxpensive! small portions. terrible atmosphere...all the food was good, but half a chicken cost $26 (white rice cost extra)..on broad! could one find a more costly half chicken anywhere?! a whole cooked chicken at rouses cost $6. a whole chicken at Marjies cost $52. A half chicken with 2 sides cost $10 at The Joint. The restaurants are comparable in atmosphere, furnishings, and service. across the street from this place (at a gas station corner store) you can get a rather decent 3 foot long sandwich that will feed four people for $10...Ideal market is a block down and has hotplates for under $10 that are on par with Marjies...5 of us spent $25 a piece to share plates at this restaurant (no drinks) . it was tasty, i will say, but a $10 broccoli plate let each of us have a bite...after eating here we literally got in our cars, drove straight to Cooter Browns, and ate again...that gambit review was terribly diluted and contextually uninformative..maybe the experience would have been easier to swallow if it was in the cbd instead of a house on broad. either way one would come and go hungry...i think this was my most disappointing (and disturbing) restaurant experience ever.
