Re: “Would you be willing to pay more at a restaurant that paid its servers $10 per hour?

I agree that $10.00 without tips is not a living wage! We should go back to determining minimum wage by computing it in ratio to the gross national product earned by American workers which has continually risen while minimum wage remained static.

Using THAT ratio, the minimum wage should be $35.00 per hour. & don't believe the naysayers complaint that prices would go up.

The cost of products is NOT tied to minimum wages paid out, but to the wages paid at the TOP of the working force who could not make ANY money without their workers, AND to stock owners how starve workers while contributing practically NOTHING to production.

As an example, the richest woman in the US is Mrs. Walton, the widow of the eldest Walton heir who takes in almost $40 Billion dollars EVERY YEAR, while you & I contribute to her billions by subsidizing her workers who make so little money money they qualify for food stamps, housing supplements & Medicare!

Old Mr Walton who founded Walmarts & Sams, knew the value of hard work because he worked to build his company! HE paid his workers decent salaries!

His heirs DO NOT!
