Re: “NFL team with $33 million in dead money thinks Hall of Fame QB's contract caused lack of talent

Well when Drew got that nice contract a few years ago he said he had 10 years left to play healty.Did anyone else laugh at that? Then we had to endure ..is Jimmy Graham a tight end or a WR. He was neither, plus cannot block. So the Saints give him a lot of money and then send him on his way. The Saints have a whole roster of A rods!

Re: “Free self-defense class offered in wake of reported sexual assaults in St. Roch and Upper 9th Ward

I have to agree with Bob ladies.I have been taking self defense lessons for years and it takes my husband one minute to get me in a bear hug and throw me down. We spar at a gym with mma gloves on. I am trained, but he is big and strong. Please don't try to take a man down. Just carry a taser.

Re: “Blakeview: The Chinchuba Haunted House

We still have the Washington Redskins. Very offensive to our original native Americans. That is the slur of ALL slurs. Just no one around fighting for them, so on it goes against our natives.

Re: “Anonymous donor could fund Confederate monument removals; Chief Harrison calls Liberty Place statue "shameful"

New Orleans is a unique city and a wonderfull city and has problems like every other city. You do not wait to remove offense statues until all of the other problems are fixed. You multi task. Something that is offensive to the MAJORITY of the population needs to come down. Memorials dedicated to leaders of a war against the USA, and who are basically treasonists have to come down. The USA allowed these memorials to be built, so that the south would feel welcomed back to the USA rather than lined up and shot as the treasonists they were. Lucky for the confederates that Lincoln was a compassionate man or there would be no such ridiculos momuments celebrating the great tragedy in this country's history.

Look folks..face it..there was terrible war and you lost. The looser gets no spoils.

Thank you to the anon donor! Oh and hayz...I am sure you that if you use a little of your brain you may understand why and how it is anon. The person would immediately begin getting death threats is one good reason.

Re: “More layoffs at NOLA.com | The Times-Picayune

@jay,tipsajoke,rockwell,nuria,jay,etc. Have to agree. It really is so sad what has happened to our T-P. It really is tp now! My 95 year old mother has read the paper since she was a child. Her father made her read it out loud to better her reading skills. It was SO New Orleans. Does everyone remember all of the haggling and complaining and hand wringing that went thhrough this city when they announced only 3 days per week subscriptions?
Do you remember that Tom Benson offered to buy them? They refused. WHY???
As soon as the Advocate was about to come out I purchased 5 years worth at 11$/year. Now that is a deal. Problem is the Advocate is way too conservative, and still feels and reads like an out of town paper. Their comic section contains Mallard Fillmore, that is as conservative as it gets. I wrote to them and told them to move that to the editorial section because I am tired of trying to explain the nonsense to my children. Now I just cut it out, since they did not even respond to me.
Yes the TP was a great paper, but why didnt they sell? Did they want to slowly bring the TP to being tp?

Re: “Four New Orleans Confederate statues may be removed after two city commissions find them a ‘nuisance’

factcheck-You must not be from here. That is a new orleans type of expression to identify where we are in the park. So if someone called to meet me I would say just outside of city park, meaning that is the MAIN entrance to the park, so pay attention to when you turn off wisner. That is all that is meant by that expression. I think it is understood by locals that the statue is in city park.

Re: “Louisiana governor’s race finally gets hot

Jeffery- Don't hold what against Vitter? I hope you don't mean the prostituion issue, cause that ain't going away. The fact is he was the one walking the high ground at that time. The whole time he was talking family values over and over and over. He became known as Mr Family values. Of course he owned up he got caught red handed and had no choice. This means that he is a total phony and not to be believed ever. He told the public that he was a family man and would fight to his last drop of blood for family values. The whole time he was with prostitutes. Now he could have done like Dave Livingston and just go away and get out of the public eye, but vitter is such a phony that he just kept going. You would have thought, that like Livingston he would be too EMBARRASSED, to ever ask the public to trust him ever agan. But no...water off of ducks back. I have no respect for Vitter.
