Re: “New Oak Street ice cream parlor "Kream" set to open Feb. 8

Hey Dan! Yes, they will. I tried a delicious satsuma ice pop and chocolate ice cream that were both booze-free.

Re: “Ice Cream 504 is Uptown's newest spot for homemade, gluten-free ice cream

Hi canvasback! A lot of ice creams contain gluten because they use a variety of stabilizers and gums to be more shelf-stable. More companies and ice cream makers are now trying to label whether or not their ice cream is gluten-free, or in many cases, which ice creams they serve are and which aren't. Thanks!

Re: “Mister Apple expanding to Uptown

I haven't been in Mister Apple in a while, but the concept of getting candy apples delivered to my door really speaks to me.

Re: “Where to drink tea in New Orleans

Thanks, Callie! That sounds great. I'm making a map of everyone's favorite tea spots and I'll add it in.

Re: “Five best food raps by New Orleans rappers

Thanks for sharing! As the inspiration for this entire series, 5th Ward Weebie, says, "You know I'm coming back with a part two." (Sneaux Flow will definitely be on the second list.)

Re: “Kebab now open on St. Claude Avenue

Hi, Lacar Musgrove: It definitely is Turkish, just was pointing out in the piece that it's an incredibly popular street food in Germany (a €2.5 billion industry!) and parts of France. I'll make sure to mention the doner kebab's Turkish origins in future coverage. Thanks!
