Re: “Gone Daddy Gone: The end of Big Daddy's

I'm Sean. I worked at big daddy's off and on between 02-04. I was 22 at the time. I was a door man and had everything I owned in a garbage bag coming into new Orleans. I got hired on the spot as a day shift door guy during Mardi gras that year. Great job surrounded by lovely ladies. I walked the girls to their cars every night as a true gentleman should. I remember Rick was a stern guy with a hell of a grip. Always business. Ran a tight ship and said one rule don't mess with the girls. He took it personally. I admire that about him now. Especially after reading these stories and remenissing. One other story Louie told me about the swing I was surprised no one said here. He said that there was always a real girl in the swing. One day a girl fell and sued so they put the fake one up. If anyone recognizes me from my time there drop me a line anytime. RIP Rick. Rock on Louie, Sean the bartender, Tigger, and all the lovely ladies that were there then and still work there. ;)
