"2014's best and worst foodie cities for your wallet"

Another week, another list. The financial website put New Orleans 7th on its rankings of "2014's best and worst foodie cities for your wallet," sandwiched between Reno, Nevada and Austin, Texas. The site compared the 150 most-populated cities in the U.S. using 18 metrics and data from the U.S. Bureau of Labor Statistics, U.S. Census Bureau and the Centers for Disease Control and Prevention and considered price and culinary diversity and desirability. The metrics included average cost of groceries, number of restaurants per capita, number of ice cream shops and number of craft breweries. Orlando, Florida topped the list, while Henderson, Nevada was last. San Francisco placed 15th (broken down, it was first in diversity/accessibility/quality and 121st in affordability), New York is 143rd.
