Look for an unusual variety and great prices on pearls during a trunk show Friday and Saturday, April 28-29, at The Villa Inc. (1281 N. Causeway Blvd., Suite 1, Mandeville, 985-626-9797). The trunk show will feature pearls straight from a pearl farm in China and will include South Sea and freshwater varieties ranging in size from 6mm to 25mm, all available at producer prices. Whole Foods Market (Arabella Station, 5600 Magazine St., 899-9119; 3420 Veterans Memorial Blvd., Metairie, 888-8225; has introduced the Chocolatour line of chocolate bars featuring confections made with cocoa beans from around the world. Each bar tells you the originating country of the cocoa beans used to produce it and when the beans were harvested, providing chocolate lovers with an experience akin to sipping wines from different areas. Because the 3.2-ounce bars are produced in limited quantities (each bar gets a unique number) from a single location and date, some may not always be available. They are on sale for two for $5 through Wednesday, April 26, or while supplies last. Chocolatour normally retails for $3.29 a bar.

Send information about trunk shows, new product lines, sales and in-store events to Kandace Graves at, call 483-3105, or fax 483-3116. Information should be received 10 days prior to publication.
