Soul Fest 

Go on down to the Audubon Zoo for Soul Fest, where dads and families alike can have a wild time this Father's Day weekend. The zoo's two-day festival features live music and special offerings. Five-time Grammy winner Yolanda Adams headlines the array of musicians, which also includes Irvin Mayfield, Wanda Rouzan, Rebirth Brass Band, Hot 8 Brass Band (pictured), Phillip Manuel and others. The Wild Mohicans Mardi Gras Indians start the festival with a second-line parade from the gates to the stage on Saturday. This annual celebration of African-American culture also promises authentic soul food dishes, artisan crafts and a health fair sponsored by the city's Department of Health. Dad gets in for free on Sunday. Tickets $12 adults, $7 children 2-12, $9 seniors. -- Lauren LaBorde
