St. Patrick's Day

St. Patrick's Day festivities run through the week. On Tuesday, the bars Parasol's (2533 Constance St., 897-5413; www.parasols.com) and Bourre's (237 1/2 Lafayette St., Gretna, 363-0028) host daytime block parties, and the Downtown Irish Parade (943-0785) starts at 5:30 p.m. at Markey Park (Royal and Piety streets) in the Bywater and marches to the French Quarter. The Irish-Italian Parade (www.lairish-italian.org) marches down Veterans Memorial Boulevard in Metairie starting at noon on Sunday.
