The newly formed Actor's Theatre of New Orleans presents René J.F. Piazza's A Christmas Carol: The Whole Story, which returns after a year's hiatus. Piazza's seasonal screwball spoof is based loosely on the Charles Dickens' classic. The whole family will enjoy this fall-down-laughing holiday comedy featuring a disarray of characters -- most of whom are completely unrelated to the Dickens tale, many who are instead culled from classic fairy tales, and some who seem to have been thrown into the production on a whim. These characters are played by many local favorites, including Piazza (left), Chelle Duke, Michael Sullivan, Stacy Taliancich, Vicki Lovelace, Michael Santos (right), Gina Porretto, Sarah Fontenelle, Kevin Songy, Jonathan May, Kali Russell and, of course, RenŽ Piazza as Ebenezer Scrooge. Leon Contavesprie directs the cleverly plotted chaos. With Piazza, one never knows what's coming, so be prepared for the unexpected. Tickets $12 general admission, $10 seniors/students/kids.
