Tabasco: A Burlesque Opera
Thu.-Sun. Jan. 25-28 | An Irishman impersonating a French chef is under pressure to relieve a pasha of his palace's bland food in the operetta created in 1894 by George W. Chadwick. Presented by the New Orleans Opera Association at 8 p.m. Thursday and Friday and 2:30 p.m. Saturday and Sunday at Le Petit Theatre du Vieux Carre.

Tango Fire
Sat. Jan. 27 | The Buenos Aires, Argentina-based company features tango dancing by five couples under the direction of award-winning tango dancer German Cornejo, performed to live music. At 8 p.m. at Mahalia Jackson Theater for the Performing Arts.
