Remarkably, very few seem to remember that it was also known as the Sheraton Delta Motor Hotel from the early 1960s until perhaps 1973. I will admit that the building was in poor cosmetic shape near its end, but dispute the idea that it was beyond usefulness or could not have been included in the plans for the new hospital. The plans for the hospital are strikingly anti-urban in their outlook and do not represent good planning in any form. While it may not have been a decent hotel for many years, it was a building which had use left in its walls. To destroy it for "green space" on a major urban street is horrific planning.
