Tulane Summer Lyric Theatre hosts 50th anniversary gala 

A host of veteran performers take the stage June 3

Summer Lyric Theatre at Tulane University begins its 50th anniversary season with Annie Get Your Gun June 22. It celebrates the anniversary June 3 with an evening of performances by more than 50 veterans of its stage, including Bryan Batt (pictured), Anthony Lachiura (who has appeared hundreds of times at New York's Metropolitan Opera and in Martin Scorsese's Boardwalk Empire), opera singer Sarah Jane McMahon, Melissa Marshall, Leslie Castay, Ricky Graham, Janet Shea, Beverly Trask, Bob Edes Jr., Sean Patterson, Rivertown Theaters for the Performing Arts' Kelly and Mark Fouchi (who met at a Summer Lyric production of South Pacific), Keith and Leslie Claverie and others. There also will be an appearance by Michael Howard, who worked at Summer Lyric from its inception through 2014, including 18 years as its director.
