Wine of the Week 

Grapes sourced from central Chile's Rapel Valley produced this supple, concentrated, elegant wine. Made from 100 percent Merlot, 89 percent was aged in oak for seven months with 11 percent aged in stainless steel. Of the oak-aged wine, 9 percent saw new oak, 15 percent was aged in one-year-old oak, with the remainder in two-to-three-year-old barrels. On the nose, this well-balanced, harmonious wine offers ripe red fruit aromas followed by jammy plum, cherry and blackberry with hints of oak. Drink now or cellar three to five years. Good with roast pork, veal chops, casseroles and pasta. Available at Whole Foods Market Uptown, The Wine Seller, both Martin Wine Cellar locations, and Dorignac's.
