Wine of the Week 

The play on words reflects seven super vineyards farmed by growers whose families have tilled the soil for close to 150 years. Zinfandel is thought to have arrived in California with the Gold Rush, thriving in Lodi's deep, well-drained, pholoxera-free sandy soils. The pest-less Lodi vineyards account for the average 50-year-old vines fueled by near-perfect climactic conditions. A complex, multi-layered wine with pepper and licorice notes merging into brambly fruit flavors of blackberry and black cherries with cocoa and vanilla nuances.
