Wine of the Week 

The Gironde River, fed by the Garonne and Dordogne rivers, cuts a wide swath through the huge land mass of Bordeaux on its path to the Atlantic. Of the many sub-regions Bordeaux encompasses, St. Emilion is both an enchanting medieval walled village as well as a region of wines produced primarily from Merlot and Cabernet Franc. This wine, a blend of 80 percent Merlot and 20 percent Cabernet Franc, offers violets, cedar and dark berry aromas with blackberry and black currant fruit flavors and well-integrated tannins.
