Local musician and author (and Gambit contributor) Michael Patrick Welch releases his second novel Y'all's Problem (Dirty Coast) at an event featuring readings by several writers and musicians. It's also a release party for the second edition of Welch's New Orleans: The Underground Guide (UNO Press). The novel is illustrated by Jeff Pastorek, and the guide includes photos by Jonathan Traviesa and Zack Smith. A $50 package includes a copy of the novel and drawing or photo from either book. There also are readings by Gwendolyn Knapp (of the band the Green Demons), poet David Rowe and UNO Press publisher Bill Lavender (A Field Guide to Trees). Free admission. — Will Coviello
