With summer here, restaurants all over town are offering deals on food and drinks. Here are some happy hour and dining events around the city.

Meauxbar (942 N. Rampart St., 504-569-9979) chef John Bel launched a summer dinner series aimed at highlighting seasonal produce. In the six-week series, the restaurant will serve seasonally themed dinners showcasing approximately 75 local ingredients in four- and five-course meals. Desserts are provided by pastry chef Ruby Bloch, and Meauxbar’s bar director Gillian White is selecting wine pairings for each course. Most of the dinners cost $50 to $60 per person with optional pairings.

The next event is a cocktail-themed Spirits of the Americas Dinner on July 17 that coincides with Tales of the Cocktail.

The schedule for the rest of the summer’s dinners are below:

July 31, War of the Roses. A dinner paired with roses from around the world
Aug. 15, Happy Birthday, Julia! A dinner inspired by Julia Child.
Aug. 30, A Muppet-Inspired evening. A four-course dinner celebrates the Muppets’ 40th anniversary.
Sept. 13, Forgotten NOLA Dinner. A menu inspired by some of the restaurants that are no longer in existence and their signature dishes.

French Quarter restaurant Trinity (1117 Decatur St., 504-325-5789) offers a summertime oyster happy hour Tuesdays through Thursdays. Diners at the bar can get a $4 glass of cava with any of the restaurant’s oyster preparations, which include raw, smoked, broiled and baked.

Sac-a-Lait (1051 Annunciation St., 504-324-3658) has happy hour specials from 5:30 p.m. to 7 p.m. Tuesdays through Fridays. Guests can get select craft cocktails, draft beer and wines by the glass for half price. There also will be oyster specials.

Press Street Station (5 Press St., 504-249-5622) chef Michael Doyle and Urban South Brewery are teaming up for a summertime Fish Fry dinner July 15. The five-course meal includes unlimited beer pairings for $65 and includes a “chips and dip” cocktail hour from 6:30 p.m. to 7 p.m. with appetizers including wahoo poke, sheepshead bagna cauda with scorpion peppers and watermelon with charred squid salsa.

A family-style dinner follows and features smoked drum salad with Grana Padano , cucumbers, mint, pepper jelly and nectarine, hake tacos with kimchi purree, whole-fried red snapper, and corn cakes with blueberry jam.

Through the end of August, Emeril’s New Orleans and Emeril’s Delmonico are offering three-course tasting menus which include a choice of starters, entrees and desserts.

At Emeril’s Delmonico, the menu ($45) includes watermelon feta salad or shrimp, crab and mirliton bisque and fried oysters Bordelaise with linguine or a bourbon-braised pork shank with bacon-smothered greens and sweet potato grits.
Emeril’s New Orleans’ menu ($40) includes a Gulf swordfish escabeche with sweet potato tostones, and the whimsically-named Bag of Clams, a take on a clam bake paired with spaghetti squash, tomato, artichoke and pancetta. Dessert includes banana rum cake or a milk chocolate mousse. Optional wine pairings are available at both restaurants for an additional cost.
